Jason T. Shilson joined
the firm in 1994 as an associate, after a year of practice
with a national commercial litigation firm. His practice concentrates
on state and federal court tax litigation matters in Illinois
and throughout the nation, as well as the firm’s administrative
appeals practice in Illinois. He became a partner in January
2002.
Professional Associations
Mr. Shilson is a member of the Chicago Bar Association (and
its Real Estate Tax Committee), the Illinois State Bar Association
and the Institute for Professionals in Taxation (formerly
the Institute of Property Taxation). He was admitted to the
Illinois Bar and the U.S. District Court for the Northern
District of Illinois in 1993, and the U.S. Court of Appeals
for the Seventh Circuit in 1994.

Mr. Shilson graduated from the University of Michigan
(Ann Arbor) in 1990, with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political
