Michael L. McDermott
joined O’Keefe Lyons & Hynes, LLC in 1966 after
three years as the Administrative Assistant to the Public
Administrator of Cook County. From that date to the present
he has concentrated his practice in real estate transactions,
corporate and partnership transactions and estate planning.
Civic Associations
Mr. McDermott is a past president of the Western Golf
Association (1982-83) and continues to serve that organization
as a Trustee of the Evans Scholars Foundation, the largest
educational scholarship charitable organization in the
world. He was Trustee and Vice-Chairman of the Board of
National-Louis University from 1993 to 2002 and is active
in many charitable organizations.
Education and Bar Admissions
Mr. McDermott received his Juris Doctor from the Northwestern
University School of Law (1963) and his undergraduate
degree from Spring Hill College (1960). Mr. McDermott
is a member of the American Bar Association, Illinois
State Bar Association and Chicago Bar Association.
