Keefe Lyons & Hynes, LLC since 1997, James E. Carroll
serves clients in domestic and international corporate
financial and securities transactions, including corporate
acquisitions, bond transactions, finance, privatization,
real estate development and general corporate matters.
Mr. Carroll has been a member of the firm's Executive
Committee since 2000. Mr. Carroll was a partner with Altheimer
& Gray in Chicago from 1988 to 1997.
In 1991, he was lead counsel during the first privatization
in Poland. He was co-chairman from 1989 to 1997 of the
International Practice of the Altheimer & Gray law
firm, where he supervised opening law offices in Warsaw,
Prague, Kiev, Bratislava and Istanbul. He has counseled
clients on investments in more than 20 countries.
Mr. Carroll practiced at Antonow & Fink from 1982
to 1988. He became a partner of that firm in 1988.

Education and Bar Admissions
Mr. Carroll received an LL.M in International Law from
Cambridge University in England in 1980 and a J.D. from
Northwestern University School of Law in 1982. He received
his undergraduate degree (B.A. maxima cum laude) from
Loras College, Dubuque, Iowa in 1978. Mr. Carroll has
been admitted to the bar of the Supreme Court of the State
of Illinois, U.S. District Court, Northern District of
Illinois, U.S. Court of Appeals, Seventh Circuit and the
U.S. Supreme Court.
